Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Cornelius, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,913 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: General ICU skillset Critical care medication experience including insulin, vasopressors, and sedation Management of invasive lines such as arterial and central venous catheters Cardiac rhythm interpretation Ventilator management Blood product administration Wound care and dressing changes Description: This position involves providing critical care to a diverse patient population. You will see a range of diagnoses, excluding cardiac surgical cases. Typical patient conditions include sepsis, ARDS, GI bleeds, DKA, cardiac arrest, withdrawal, and renal failure. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 to 1:2 for RNs and 1:10 for CNAs. Support staff includes CNAs who assist with turning, feeding, and mobility. No healthcare unit coordinator or receptionist is available on the unit. Charge nurse support is available 24/7. Phlebotomy is handled by a designated RN. Respiratory therapy support is available around the clock. The EMR system used is EPIC. Required technology includes telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and virtual carts for rounding with physicians. Floating may occur within the region and scope of practice as needed. Travelers will be compensated for time spent traveling between facilities mid-shift. Holiday work is expected, with travelers required to work 75% of holidays. The standardized scheduling includes a weekend rotation every other weekend. Approval for up to 6 days off is available, excluding holidays. Shift times are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
