Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,913 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/12/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required; TNCC preferred Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The facility has 337 licensed beds and is not a trauma designation hospital. It serves a general ED population with an average census of 145 patients per day. The ages served range from pediatric to geriatric patients. The patient admission rate is between 25-30%. Patient ratios are RN to patient 1:3-4, based on acuity. Traveler must be willing to float as needed to other facilities within the region. The nurse will provide care for a variety of diagnoses, including trauma stabilization, respiratory illness, stroke, behavioral health, acute myocardial infarction, and minor trauma. The position requires skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, peripheral IV starts, administration of TNK/TPA, conscious sedation, and charge nurse experience. Support within the department includes unit secretaries, paramedic charge nurses, dedicated pharmacists, social workers, respiratory therapists, and 24/7 medical providers. The technology and equipment used include an electronic medical record system, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and patient monitoring systems.
