Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,765 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: RN - Neonatal ICU Profession: RN Specialty: Neonatal ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2 years of strong Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Comfortable in a high acuity, fast-paced environment Ability to work with a variety of complex patient diagnoses Description: RN position in the Neonatal ICU. The facility has a licensed capacity of 247 beds and is designated as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. Patient census typically averages 58, with 53 beds plus overflow available. The unit manages a diverse range of conditions, including Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Meconium Aspiration, and Congenital Heart Defects. Experience with a variety of neonatal complications is essential. Patient ratios are based on acuity, ranging from 1:1 to 1:3. Preferred skills include EPIC experience, management of vasoactive drips, and technical competency with various neonatal devices and procedures. Support staff is available, including a dedicated unit secretary, charge nurse, and in-house resources like intensivists and APPs. Unit culture emphasizes teamwork, trust, accountability, and respect. Travelers are expected to work holidays as scheduled and participate in weekend rotations.
