Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Opportunity – Labor &
Delivery RN – North Carolina Start Date: February 2, 2026 Location:
Charlotte, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to
qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 -
07:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required (minimum 6
weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) Highlights: High-volume
Birthing Care Unit with 400-600 deliveries per month and an average
of 20 births per 24-hour period 2:1 patient ratios with obstetrical
triage, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care for patients 16
weeks and greater Epic charting system with Pyxis and SBAR
protocols 13 or 26-week contract options available; first-time
travelers accepted with appropriate experience 24 hours of paid
orientation with scrubs provided May float to Special Maternity
Care high-risk OB unit as needed Requirements: Minimum 2 years
Labor & Delivery experience; 3 years preferred Experience in a
high-volume facility with more than 300 births per month required
Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
Certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (C-EFM accepted
in lieu of AWHONN) Skills: Circulating for Cesarean sections,
sterile vaginal exams, immediate newborn care, triage of
obstetrical patients, infant/neonatal arrest response, and OCT
(Oxytocin Challenge Tests) Flu vaccination required

diverse case mix. You'll work alongside a collaborative
interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory
Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams, providing exceptional
care to obstetrical patients during one of the most important
moments of their lives. This unit offers extensive experience with
scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births, rescue cervical cerclage
procedures, and comprehensive maternal-newborn care in a
supportive, well-resourced setting. Requirements Required for
