Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/11/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CCU/ICU Job Details: • Work in ICU setting at small rural hospital • Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers • Assess patient needs based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis • Provide appropriate nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standard of practice • Conduct hourly rounds utilizing the 4 P's • Foster environment demonstrating caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors • Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff • Follow standard work protocols for central lines, chest tubes, foley and suprapubic catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints and high fall risk patients • Precept and mentor novice employees • Participate in Evidence Based Practices and hospital-system initiatives • Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation • Understand appropriate storage and safety of medications including large volume IVs, saline, and pre-packaged medication kits • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS Facility: This rural healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical services to the surrounding community with a focus on critical care.
