Salisbury VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Allergist to join our team as a section chief. We are looking for candidates interested in treating a veteran population with diverse and complicated allergic/immunologic conditions in an interdisciplinary environment. This position will oversee operations at three sites: Salisbury, Kernersville, and Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves clinically and administratively directing and supervising the clinical allergist staff to ensure high-quality care is delivered in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 08:00AM-4:30PM Call Schedule: None Academic Affiliation : SBY VAMC has affiliations with Wake Forest University School of Medicine/Baptist Medical Center and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech University. Benefits Salary: $285,000-$295,000 Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by V.A. Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting Requirements U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy. Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required. Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty. Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Allergy and Immunology.
