qualified ER/Trauma RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28262! Pay
Information $1,887 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency
Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency
Department Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift:
12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN
experience License: Required license as an RN Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: Ability
to care for adult and pediatric patients experiencing medical
emergencies Description: This is a busy and fast-paced emergency
department with 34 beds and 32 vertical care areas. The department
sees an average of over 200 patients per day. Patient types include
heavy trauma stabilization, mental health issues, and typical
emergency department diagnoses such as stroke, respiratory illness,
chest pain, and abdominal pain. Patient ratios typically are 1 RN
to 4 patients and 1 LPN to 4 patients. The role requires general
emergency department skills including cardiac rhythm
interpretation, experience with critical care drips, PIV starts,
and conscious sedation. Support staff includes CNAs and charge
nurses. The department utilizes an electronic medical record system
and various technology and equipment such as IV pumps and
medication dispensing systems. Travelers may be required to float
to other facilities as needed within the scope of practice. Weekend
rotations every other weekend are expected, with no on-call
requirements. Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays.
Requests for time off can be made, allowing for up to 6 days off
excluding holidays. Unit culture emphasizes teamwork.
