ARMStaffing is seeking a local contract nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a local contract nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shifts, 4x12-hour: 18:45 - 07:15. Weekend coverage required every third weekend. Job Description The Labor and Delivery Unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced environment. Our unit handles over 300 births per month, primarily focusing on high-risk obstetrical patients. The ideal candidate should demonstrate capability in a high-volume setting with prior experience in labor and delivery management, including circulating for C-sections and providing immediate newborn care. Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater. - Conduct sterile vaginal exams and participate in pain management processes. - Perform triage of obstetrical patients and assess pain management needs. - Administer IV therapy and maintain IVs as needed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in Labor and Delivery; 3 years preferred. - Experience in high volume settings with a strong understanding of obstetrical triage. - Certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP required. - Preferred skills: Experience circulating for C-sections and high-risk antepartum care.
