stressful situations. A good MRI Tech has great observational
skills and empathy for patients while remaining professional. Key
Responsibility Analyzing patient histories and completing
screenings for pacemakers and injuries where metal objects were
involved. Preparing and administering contrast dyes. Addressing
patients’ concerns and ensuring that they are comfortable and calm
during scans. Performing regular inspections of the MRI equipment
and machines, and scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
Positioning the patients and completing MRI scans according to the
physicians' specifications. Ensuring that the MRI rooms are kept
clean, tidy, and safe at all times. Training junior MRI
Technologists and providing support to new staff. Writing reports
and escalating any problems to the relevant stakeholders.
Requirements: 1 years experience required/n/n/nLevel 1 Trauma, ICU,
Peds, M-F 2-10 PM/n/nColumbia MRI requirements:/n• Level I trauma
experience/n• Previous travel experience (will accept a 1st time
traveler if they’ve had 2 years two years of level I trauma exp)/n•
Siemens, McKesson, and Cerner experience/n• Adult ICU and,
Pediatrics, and Adult Acute Care experience/n• one year
experience/n• BLS and AART or ARMRIT certification/n/nThoracic
Magnetic resonance angiography*/nPeripheral Magnetic resonance
angiography (Iliac, runoff)*/nSpectroscopy*/nImage post-processing
(Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction)*/n/nStarting
