Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care
Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours
Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience License: Active Nursing
License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Required; NIH Preferred
Must-Have: Cardiac Progressive Care Unit experience Comfortable
with 1:5 patient ratios Description: This position is for a
Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit. The candidate must
have experience with cardiac patients. Nights are required for a
3x12 hour shift schedule. Weekend rotation and holiday shifts may
be necessary. Staff scheduling will be based on departmental needs.
All registered nurses must pass an EKG exam as part of compliance,
regardless of specialty. Candidates will manage cardiac drips and
handle telemetry monitoring. Interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias are required. The primary patient focus will be on
conditions such as congestive heart failure, acute coronary
syndrome, and arrhythmias. Additional responsibilities include
managing pre and post cardiac catheterizations and respiratory
issues. Nurse assistants are available 24/7 to support care.
Candidates should be prepared for possible floating to other units
as needed. A commitment to punctuality and attendance is essential.
