Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to improve care for people with
serious illness, whatever the diagnosis, through the use of
interdisciplinary teamwork and comprehensive knowledge. The Hospice
and Palliative Care Advanced Practice Provider provides inpatient
health care and performs selective medical services under the
direction of practice physicians. This position is a hybrid
outpatient role with an opportunity to become full-time outpatient
based. This position works a M-F from 8-5 schedule. Our dedicated
team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants,
nursing staff, chaplains, social workers, and other healthcare
providers strive to ensure relief from the symptom burden and

Education: Master's Degree Required. Master's degree in NP program
or post Master's NP program. As of January 1, 2005, all new NP
graduates must have a Master's Degree. National certification
required after January 1, 2000. Continuing education is mandatory
for recertification and for continuing regulatory recognition to
practice in the State.Experience: One to three years of experience
working in a physician practice setting
PreferredLicensure/Certification/Registration: Current NP license
in appropriate state, registry w/state medical bd, current DEA
registry RequiredAdditional Skills Required: Ability to
successfully complete generic and department-specific skills
validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management
team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills,
