Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading of cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity and risk
  • Finance /operational/executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, major change management initiatives, ongoing oversight of a leadership /diversity/recognition/Q12 or general program oversight
  • Providing leadership in the management of relationships and integration /implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary
  • Working with functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure alignment with WF strategy /policies and business line objectives
  • Developing metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives
  • Ensuring plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations
  • Managing a team to accomplish the work

    As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

    • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
    • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

      Required Qualifications

      • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
      • 3+ years of leadership experience

        Desired Qualifications

        • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
        • Knowledge and understanding of project life cycle development and implementation
        • Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
        • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
        • Project Management Professional (PMP)
        • Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders
        • Ability to discuss and understand business needs/wants with non-technical people
        • Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions
        • Experience with Microsoft Lync, Skype for Business or Cisco collaboration technologies
        • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
        • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
        • Wells Fargo project management experience
        • Ability to escalate issues

          Other Desired Qualifications

          • 2+ years of experience as a lead Program Manager running one or more corporate risk programs or work streams that include three or more subordinate projects
          • 3+ years of experience using MS Project
          • Experience leading corporate policy, and/or enterprise processes and tools initiatives
          • Experience with using SharePoint to monitor and control project activities
          • Experience with Independent Risk Management/Corporate Risk operations as well as familiarity with policies and procedures used by Corporate Risk, including but not limited to Regulatory Relations, International Risk, Risk Governance and Administration, Compliance, Strategic Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, and others)
          • Thorough understanding of Wells Fargo PM Policy
          • Ability to gauge the true state of programs/projects, anticipate and mitigate risks and problems
          • Solid understanding of intersection between Program Office, subordinate projects, Business Operations, and IT (EIT)
          • Familiarity with a version of CA Technologies Program and Project Management tool
