Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Employer Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.The Wholesale Control (WC) organization serves as the front line risk management organization within the Wholesale Banking group of Employer supporting the Wholesale businesses with risk strategy, implementation, and execution. The Wholesale Control team is accountable to assess and effectively manage risk across all risk types and Wholesale businesses delivering an integrated view of risks, producing a sustainable control environment, and instilling a culture of strong risk management. The team is responsible to identify and assess risks, design and implement controls, and execute and monitor the controls to ensure they are working effectively to manage risk across Wholesale. Wholesale Control interfaces with Independent Risk Management and Audit to drive comprehensive and consistent implementation of regulatory and corporate risk policies and programs across Wholesale.The RoleThe Wholesale Operational Risk Control (WORC) organization is part of the WC organization and provides an objective view of the state of Operational Risk across Wholesale Banking. In addition, WORC supports and ensures the effective and efficient execution of strong risk management programs in every Wholesale business unit. Working closely with the Wholesale business unit risk professionals and throughout Employer, WORC team members ensure that Wholesale business units manage risk with respect to our customers, our company and our communities. Within WORC, an exciting opportunity exists on the Measurements & Insights team.Individual ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the WORC Measurements & Insights team, the individual will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of Operational Risk Consultants responsible for overseeing the execution of the Operational Risk Analytics and Monitoring Program for Wholesale Banking
  • Establishing and monitoring quality assurance routines for team routines and deliverables
  • Monitoring and reporting of risk data and insights specific to risk identification, scenario analysis, and operational losses
  • Participating in Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) activities
  • Leading projects or research requests aligned to strategic initiativesThe CandidateThe WORC Measurements & Insights Operational Risk Manager 4 (ORM4) will be responsible for partnering primarily with Business Operational Risk Controls leaders, Wholesale Controls Data Analytic Solutions (DAS) resources and Independent Risk Management Operational Risk Management and Analytics leaders to drive requirements and develop solutions to support analytics capability for reporting and monitoring of operational risk key metrics.Primary responsibilities include:
    • Leading team members to perform by creating an environment where everyone feels included, valued and supported to deliver high quality results
    • Providing ongoing coaching, feedback and recognition to immediate and extended team members
    • Partnering with operational risk and business controls leaders to identify, formulate and implement metrics and reporting to monitor controls which can be used to mitigate risks
    • Identifying, reporting and escalating emerging risks identified through data sources and analysis
    • Leading or participating in projects and initiatives to deliver holistic solution to business problemsTeam members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Employer policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:
      • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
      • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasksRequired Qualifications
        • 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both
        • 5+ years of management experience Desired Qualifications

            • Experience with Finance Risk Management or Capital Management
            • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members, work through problems, and reach decisions that are in the best interest of the Company and customers
            • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative partnerships across business units, creating alliances among diverse stakeholders
            • Experience with statistics and quantitative risk methodologies
            • Experience with designing and developing executive-level reports given large data sets
            • Understanding of query development, database and entity relationship design
            • Proven ability to transform data into actionable intelligence
            • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and programming (VBA, SQL, SAS)
            • Experience in challenging the status quo in a profession, non-threatening manner
            • Experience in translating leadership vision into executable processes
            • Highly proactive, self-directed and ability to effectively deliver against goals and deadlines with minimal direction
