Job Description:
Full-time Description The Senior Manager – Governance is
primarily responsible for providing NCAA, College Sports Commission
(CSC), and ACC rules interpretations for member institutions and
tracking NCAA and ACC governance issues for ACC staff and committee
representatives. Additionally, the position will assist with
student-athlete success initiatives organized by the conference
office. The ideal candidate will have experience with NCAA rules
interpretations and governance processes and be able to
simultaneously manage a variety of projects and initiatives. The
candidate should enjoy working and communicating with others and
thrive in a fast-paced forward-thinking environment, while
possessing a strong ability to convey technical information to a
broad range of constituents. Requirements Responsibilities: •
Provide interpretations of ACC, NCAA and CSC rules and policies. •
Lead the organization and tracking of NCAA governance agendas for
discussion by internal teams working with ACC representatives on
NCAA Sport Oversight Committees, the Division I Cabinet and
Division I Board of Directors. This includes the development of a
user-friendly internal tracking system. • Primary responsibility
for research on key topics for discussion by the ACC staff and/or
ACC membership (e.g., transfer movement, NIL trends, APR/GSR data,
student-athlete centered issues). • Assist in logistics for, agenda
development, and participate in regular meetings (i.e., virtual and
in-person) with campus compliance and student-athlete support
personnel. • Aid in ACC conference office responsibilities related
to the operation of the CSC rules (e.g., evaluating and maintaining
documentation of roster limit exemptions). • Participate in monthly
CCACA meetings (i.e., virtual and in-person). • Assist in the
coordination and operation of various student-athlete success
initiatives (e.g., Unity Tour, Career Trek, SAAC, sport-specific
student-athlete advisory groups). • Manage the collection and
assembly of conference meeting materials of the Faculty Athletics
Representatives, Athletics Directors and Senior Woman
Administrators. • Assist in drafting, submitting, and collecting
feedback on NCAA legislation and NCAA waivers on behalf of the
conference. This job description is not an exhaustive list of all

duties as assigned. Education Requirements and Qualifications: •
Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferred. • 3-5 years of
experience in NCAA compliance, governance, or related field. •
Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite • Knowledge and proficiency
with NCAA applications such as LSDBi. Key Skills and Abilities: •

Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive

its member institutions with pride and professionalism. Work
Environment: This position typically operates in an office setting
but also indoor and outdoor venues including stadiums, arenas, and
fields. Additionally, please note the following: • Ability to
remain sitting for up to 8 hours at a desk or computer. • Ability
to lift and carry up to 25lbs. of equipment. • Ability to squat,
kneel, reach and maneuver while setting up equipment. • Due to the
nature of the ACC’s business, travel will occur to multiple sites
as dictated by major and minor event schedules. • Due to the nature
of events indoors and outdoors, you must be able to endure varying
weather conditions including wind, rain, and high and low
temperatures. • Understanding that due to the nature of our
business working hours can include nights, weekends and holidays as
necessary. The salary and benefits package will be competitive and
