Job Description Charlotte, NC, USA • Grand Rapids, MI, USA The
Project Manager I is responsible for overall project team
leadership and effective client relationships with Science,
Industry, and Technology clients. They manage project schedules,
budgets, and scopes for Architectural & Engineering built
environment projects, while monitoring the quality of the team’s
financial performance. The initial project focus will be key
clients in Manufacturing and Cleanrooms. Build a foundational
understanding of project communication, collaborating effectively
to meet client expectations and needs. Familiarize with project
management best practices, integrating design and team workflows,
scheduling QA/QC milestones, and ensuring compliance through
structured checklists and project charters. Plan, monitors, and
controls costs and schedules for small projects under guidance,
meeting project profit goals and ensuring effective resource
coordination. Assist in proposal creation and interview
participation, gaining familiarity with various proposal types and
components through team collaboration Initiate project start-up by
setting project numbers, budgets, and schedules and coordinating
team meetings to establish clear goals and responsibilities Monitor
project scope and collaborates with Architects, Engineers,
Designers, and other project team members to proactively address
risks when changes occur Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a
relevant area (architecture, interior design, landscape
architecture, or engineering preferred). Master’s degree a plus. 5
years of experience managing complex projects in an AE environment
required. CSI-CDT certification required (Progressive Companies
provides training for certification within a year). Professional
registration in your field highly preferred. Certification through
PSMJ/PMI preferred. Experience with Deltek Vision and Project
