Advisory Services Clinical Practice is responsible for leading a
team of professionals in both remote and onsite client work and
serving as the coordination point across all functional teams
including business operations, technology, human capital, legal,
innovation and transformation teams. All leaders on the team are
expected to be hands-on with project design, deliverable creation
and implementation support for customers. The role of the Optum
Advisory Services Clinical Practice team is to complete assessments
and implementation to identify financial and operational
opportunities at potential and established clients. There are also
several projects associated with continuous improvement of our
valuation methodology, product innovation needs and clinical
transformation redesign methodologies based on process improvement
and technology integration. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work
remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough
challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Assesses, designs and
implements strategic client goals related to Clinical Variation
programs targeted to promote the growth and enhancement of existing
structures working in partnership with the organization's executive
and physician leadership Performance of frontline managers and
staff throughout assessment and implementation Leads and
participates in qualitative and quantitative assessment, project
plan development, develop key develiverables for identified
opportunities with key internal and external stakeholders Creates a
trusted partner relationship with client executives and is seen as
a partner in the successful design and implementation of the
transformation partnership Develops and delivers clear and concise
updates to senior leadership at the client site and within Optum
Supervises clinical staff from business units throughout Optum
through the development and implementation of the clinical
transformation opportunity at the client site Monitors progress
toward key milestones and provides regular updates and escalates
(as appropriate) to internal and external key stakeholders Monitors
budget and return on investment progress Serves as the primary day
to day contact for the client, including reviewing the work of the
consultants and analysts and serving as the coordination point for
the functional, products and transformation teams Presents to large
groups well and has the ability to adjust message to audience (CEO,
CMO, CFO and other system clinical leaders) Participates as a
member of various Optum teams to create innovative solutions
associated with the strategic development of client programs You'll

other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in healthcare
consulting 7 years of management consulting experience within the
provider (hospitals/health systems) space History of driving
initiatives and achieving performance and financial goals across
complex organizations Ability to Travel up to 80% Preferred
Qualifications: Master of Business Administration; Master of Health
Administration Experience in hospital care management and/or
leading complex clinical transformation consulting engagements
resulting in significant recurring financial benefit Experience
developing clinical transformation methodologies and designing
innovative solutions in a complex and rapidly changing environment
Clinical background Solid presentation, written and verbal
communication skills, including well-developed interpersonal skills
Proven track record of building and influencing relationships with
external and internal executives and stakeholders, as well as
leading, influencing and managing a large matrix workforce
Demonstrated self-starter with solid planning organization,
analytical and problem solving skills Careers with Optum. Our

City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or
Washington residents is $142,300 to $273,200. Pay is based on
several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
