-Responsible for selling banquet space as well as Private Dining
-May be assigned corporate groups (+30 rooms on peak) to
-Receives and responds to all client inquiries within four business
-Negotiates and captures all profitable rooms and catering
businesses in accordance with selective selling guidelines.
-Conducts successful site tours with prospective clients and
pre-conference meetings with clients and internal team members.
-Prepares and sends requested collateral materials (e.g., catering
menus, brochures, meeting room layouts, and area maps) to
designated clients or guests.
-Prepares and sends requested proposals and contracts to designated
-Coordinates all details pertaining to each client's "rooming
lists" to include room types, shared rooms, room locations,
handicap-accessible rooms, room billing, etc. (when applicable)
-Continuously educates Event Planners on hotel procedures, such as
meal guarantees, set-up styles, payment terms, available hotel
-Coordinates all details to appear on each EO, such as meeting room
set-up specifications, banquet food & beverage items, audio/visual
equipment, and billing details.
-Distributes event/group resumes, final rooming lists, and EOs to
all applicable departments, including Banquets, Culinary, and
-Meets clients upon arrival at the hotel and prior to departure to
ensure all contract details will be/have been delivered.
-Documents and reports all sales activities as required in a
timely, accurate and consistent manner.
-Maintains an active list of the top event and meeting planners and
performs continuous relationship building via phone calls, visits,
-Implements effective methods to ensure meeting planner
satisfaction scores are met or exceeded.
Education and Experience
-Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or related
-Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in convention services,
banquets, hotel sales, marketing, or equivalent education and
-CI/TY or Delphi experience preferred
