exciting opportunity for a IT Manager, Field Mobile Application
Development to join our rapidly growing team! As Manager, IT Field
Operations Systems you will oversee evaluation, design,
documentation, installation, implementation, testing, and
performance for IT Field operations systems (Mobile & desktop). You
will work closely with business/operations experts and IT leads to
ensure alignment of dispatch systems with Brightspeed go-to-market
strategies. You will ensure IT field operation system solutions
integrate strategically into upstream & downstream workflows for
Dispatch, Billing and SAP systems.As IT Manager, Field Mobile
Application Development, your responsibilities will include:
- Building a new team of software developers, testers, and
support personnel to enhance, support, and maintain the field
operations systems at Brightspeed, which will be used by Field
technicians and supervisors. Field technician & supervisor systems
to be supported on mobile and desktop platforms
- Balancing priorities from multiple areas and finding innovative
IT solutions to business problems
- Assisting business partners with solutions for Field operation
Optimization, efficiencies in technician job completions, workforce
management for field supervisors
- Deep understanding of Field operations
- Identifying and driving implementation of automation to
optimize field & dispatch center operations
- Creating interfaces/APIs for upstream dispatch systems to
consume job updates
- Creating interfaces with Billing, time reporting and SAP
systems
- Innovative solutions to optimize field dispatches
- Driving the addition of features to field operation systems to
enable new capabilities to the tool
- Building and supporting Cloud Platform instances needed for
field operation systems
- Working closely with vendor/3rd party partners to manage
progress on solutions development and drive rapid
progressQualificationsWhat IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelors in Computer Science/network technology/ engineering
or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with preferably
5+ years of experience in telecom domain
- Extensive experience driving software development and
architecting IT solutions
- 5+ years of experience in mobile development in cloud
platforms
- Firm grasp and experience with field operations, telecom
network troubleshooting concepts
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical
information
- Collaborative, team builder with strong communication skills,
ability to negotiate, often at higher levels
- Experience managing a team of employees and consultants to
drive solution delivery
- Project management skills
- PMP certification
