Job Overview The Senior Program Manager role will report directly into the leader of the Process & Change Delivery (PCD) function, a function which sits within the broader Service & Fulfillment Operations (SFO) organization. The SFO organization is accountable for, post-sale, delivery of customer value through people & process.

This role will be responsible for, in partnership with leaders across both PCD & SFO: intake management of all net-new demand driven by and/or impacting the SFO organization, resource & capacity management within the Process & Change Delivery team against initiative-demand, management of PCD routines dedicated to the portfolio health of SFO programs & projects, and where needed, program management of strategic programs driven by SFO.
This individual should have a strong foundation of experience in Program & Project management, demonstrating effective planning, execution and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives, with experience in both Portfolio Management & the design of operating models to enable effective management of risk, change & stakeholders.
The outcomes of this function are to ensure: new initiatives impacting or driven by SFO are effectively prioritized & strategically placed, resources within the Process & Change delivery function are maximized towards highest value work, active programs & projects within the SFO Portfolio are successfully executed to completion, and stakeholder expectations across both the SFO organization & AvidXchange organization as a whole are effectively managed - all towards enabling the AvidXchange organization as a whole towards accelerated growth & gross margin improvement, greater disciplined innovations, and ultimately, achievement of business objectives.
Job Responsibilities

  • Establishment & maintenance of processes, standards & artifact templates to enable effective adoption & utilization of both Program Management & Lean Six Sigma methodologies & disciplines within the Process & Change Delivery team, ensuring these are balanced with agility & speed
  • Establishment & management of the intake process for all new programs & projects driven by and/or impacting Service & Fulfillment Operations
  • Ongoing management of resource capacity within the Process & Change Delivery team against initiative-demand, serving up decisions for trade-off's where needed
  • Management of Process & Change Delivery routines dedicated to the portfolio health of SFO programs & projects
  • Ongoing portfolio analysis to drive continuous assessment of what should start, stop or continue (including where consolidation or recasting needed for ongoing strategic alignment)
  • Aggregation of initiative statuses (progress, risks, plans) to provide regular summaries on SFO Portfolio Health
  • Promote departmental, program and project vision in a clear and inspiring manner
  • Where needed, willingness to step-in and lead strategic programs alongside the Service Design function within the Process & Change Delivery team
  • Ongoing mentorship & support for the Service Design team as they navigate their individual programs or projects
  • Develop collaborative working relationships across the organization through excellent communication, customer service, and work product delivery
  • Identify and champion workable new concepts and ideas that positively impact the business Required Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
    • 7+ years of relevant experience of progressive growth in project and program management
    • 5+ years of leadership / supervisory experience
    • Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale change management within a complex, high-growth matrixed organization
    • Experience with senior executives and ability to create and deliver executive level summary reports / presentations; ability to simplify complexity through story-telling
    • Skillfully resolve conflict, persuade and negotiate with internal and external parties
    • Demonstrate strong performance management and people development skills, including motivating, coaching, mentoring and empowering
    • Skill in focusing on desired results, determining what is important, urgent, clarifying next steps, and delegating effectively to meet deadlines and achieve desired results
    • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a high-level of transparency into key decisions and issues
    • Experience and expertise with MS Office (word, excel), Visio, PowerPoint and product & project management tools (i.e. MS Project, Daptiv/Changepoint, Aha, CA PPM / CA Clarity, Aha, etc.) Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
      • Experience in FinTech, B2B, Payments preferred
      • PMI/PMP certification preferred
      • Exposure to lean six sigma & ability to design optimal processes & operational procedures preferred
