JOB SUMMARY
This position will assume operational responsibilities in the absence of their Director. This role plans and directs assigned Corporate Physical Security operations and responsibilities for their team under the guidance of their Director. Accountable for planning, developing and implementing the Corporate Physical Security programs and strategies. This position will be responsible for coordination of crisis management, risk management/mitigation and recovery efforts of both simulated (e.g. tabletop exercises) and real world incidents. Directs the activities of the assigned employees to ensure compliance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements. Represents the Corporate Security on various market and/or area committees and working groups as needed. Conducts briefings with departmental management, corporate management and law enforcement as necessary.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee day to day operations of Corporate Physical Security personnel within their department

Track activity, incidents and physical security needs

Cultivate the security team by assigning responsibility, managing accountability and providing opportunities for growth

Manage the facility security assessment process and ensures compliance with security standards, policies and procedures at all Charter Communication facilities, as needed
Ensure that the security programs and strategies of the organization are effectively implemented and maintained

Manage, coordinate, and assure the quality of activities of technical and support staff within the department and with outsourced security services, including final commissioning of all physical security projects

Perform other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Knowledge of Federal, state or local regulations relevant to the company (i.e., PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA, and data privacy affecting theft of cable service preferred
Excellent knowledge of security risks, in all their forms, across the Americas region
Ability to build relationships with law enforcement, government agencies and other security professionals
Ability to deliver preparedness training to colleagues and direct reports
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills, as well as the ability to deal with all levels of people, both inside and outside the company
Excellent executive level oral and written communications skills are essential
Comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice, court system and private security regulations
Basic knowledge of data analytics and social media tools for threat mitigation and internal communications
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Understanding of the complexities of software and networking; how the systems work together
Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion
Ability to use arithmetic skills accurately to complete daily paperwork
Accuracy and attention to detail
Comprehensive understanding of physical security threats and investigations
Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
Experience managing business resumption/recovery programs

Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Related Work Experience
5+ years combined experience in conducting investigations
5+ years running/leading multidiscipline security programs as it relates to crisis management
2+ years experience training Crisis Management teams on a crisis management plan and response tactics
2+ years management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Working knowledge of the Everbridge Product Suite (Visual Command Center, Mass Notification with Incident Communications, and Critical Event Management)
Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of management and actively participate on senior leadership calls
PSP (Physical Security Professional - Certification)
CPP (Certified Protection Professional)

WORKING CONDITIONS
Office environment
Up to 10% Travel with the ability to work hours outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification required
