Job Description:

We are currently searching for a Business Development Manager located in Charlotte, NC. Job Responsibilities: Drive new business with current customers and through product education and market expansion. Manage the day-to-day Sales team operations, which includes tracking quotes, order entry, lead-time scheduling, return material authorizations, and export requirements. Work closely with Production Control to ensure achievable deliveries for customers and manufacturing. Manage Sales team consisting of Sales Representatives and Administrative personnel (6 to 9 people). Should work to automate reports for daily and monthly bookings and improve reporting for quotes (wins/losses). Coordinate marketing and advertising functions by working with the marketing team to launch new product marketing materials for advertising efforts. Some travel is required and would include domestic and international destinations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline(s) Prior experience with customer facing meetings to discuss/introduce technical products, processes, to build relationships & identify new business opportunities through product launches and product education Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of related experience in the optics and/or laser industry Knowledge of social media platforms (Linked In, Facebook, etc.) Experience as manager or supervisor
