The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager will apply a progressive, data-driven, and project-based approach to the implementation of projects and solutions that improve aspects of Equitable's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts. This person will advise and lead on culture practices, and coordinate and/or influence corporate activities that drive the company's equity and inclusion goals. This person will work closely with business leaders at all levels, as well as across human resources as they look to execute on their assigned responsibilities. This individual must be effective at providing insight, implementing tools and resources that advance companywide diversity, equity and inclusion in addition to our employee engagement projects and programs that, in turn, enhance overall business competitiveness. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer to define and deliver the DEI vision, strategy, goals and priorities across the firm and build a culture of inclusion
  • Design, develop and execute strategies and programs, including cultural/heritage months, community dialogues, keynote speakers among other important facets
  • Advise on the development and delivery of diversity recruitment, retention and promotion practices, including expansion of existing programs with proven impact
  • Build partnerships with external DEI organizations and represent Equitable on various internal and external committees focused on DEI--
  • Use--considerable skill and judgement in managing corporate-wide DEI agenda, interacts with and influence key decision makers, offering consulting resources and communicating in a manner that builds relationships and credibility.
  • Work closely with Corporate Communications and Marketing to effectuate comprehensive and frequent communication plans Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Diversity and Inclusion, Recruiting, Talent Management, DEI Advocacy Efforts, or--other related fields Preferred Qualifications:
      • Self-starter with strong analytical skills--
      • Strong project management skills, time management skills, and familiar with agile methodology--
      • Curious, systems thinker with ability to problem solve and come up with new ideas
      • Demonstrated ability to execute programs and processes--
      • Effective influencing skills and strong leadership presence
      • Strong ability to work actively with partners at all levels throughout the firm
      • Results-oriented with ability to manage multiple complex, time-sensitive projects with multiple stakeholders
      • Ability to manage confidential information and exercise sound judgment and risk management
      • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills--
      • Intermediate to advanced in PowerPoint and Excel
