This role is responsible for directing the formulation of specific sales strategies and methodologies for each assigned Account that increases our penetration across the business units represented. Develop an Account Coverage strategy that maximizes our breadth of coverage in the most cost effective manner across all pertinent functions and locations. Foster and direct the implementation of aggressive account actions that align with behavioral objectives and sales strategies within the national sales organization. This position must be in relentless pursuit of determining where our customers perceive value and help our business units align their value proposition with the Customers buying criteria. Ultimately, we must continuously develop sell that value at a price quality point that will allow HAPG to meet its profitability goalsYour responsibilities

  • Ensure that entire account group is in full compliance with all HAPG Policies, Laws and Regulations including Operational Health and Safety requirements.
  • Drive the Core Values and Behaviors defined by the Head of US Power Sales
  • Forecast bookings and meet/exceed resulting objectives;
  • Meet desired product mix, price quality and profit margins;
  • Manage Opportunity Pipeline, providing continuous support and direction to the Account Managers
  • Manage the sales organization to provide necessary account coverage at a competitive cost;
  • Train and mentor sales personnel, assess technical and sales skills and develop where needed;
  • Ensure that HAPG meets customer expectations and all contractual obligations;
  • Work with BU's to plan sales strategy and develop specific sales plans for major negotiations;
  • Develop and maintain executive level contact with major accounts;
  • Establish, build and maintain long-term customer relationships to increase market penetration and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure top line growth and bottom line (net margin) results that align with US Power Sales objectives.
  • Provide technical and professional direction, resources, advice and development opportunities to sales staff
  • Lead and participate in market analysis to determine commercial viability of products, requirements and risks in the region.
  • Foster strong and effective relationships with internal and external customers Your background
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or business administration and 12 plus years related experience with several years in sales leadership
    • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi ABB Power Grids in the United States.
    • Experience is leading a virtual and diverse team of sales professionals
    • Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills
