Job Summary: Within the Operations and Technology for the Americas Team in the First Line of Defense (FLoD), the Transformation Business Unit Risk Manager will work with the Transformation Program Teams as a First Line participant to ensure the program is operating in compliance with the control processes of the Bank. Key responsibilities include acting as liaison between the business units and Operational Risk Management and Compliance, performing risk and control evaluations and managing remediation activities for control deficiencies and providing risk reports across their divisions. Major Responsibilities: * Build and maintain risk and control evaluations for all significant and emerging risks, including residual risk ranking and control deficiency remediation. * Responsible for accurate and timely reporting and presentation of significant and emerging risks to senior audiences and provide the business unit perspective for risk identification and risk assessments, including emerging risk, as well as balanced perspectives on risk and process improvement recommendations. * Ensure that the appropriate level of risks and controls are documented in Risk Resolve. * Shape approach for First, Second, and Third Line of Defense (LOD) engagement in the Transformation program. * Develop and lead Second and Third LOD training and knowledge transfer. * Lead all regulatory interactions across the program, ensuring that the program is operating in compliance with the control processes of the Bank (i.e., TPRM). * Participate on the Operational Risk Management Committee to assess and respond to emerging risks and participate in ad-hoc working groups to resolve new areas of risk. * Responsible for ensuring that the resources dedicated to risk management within their area of responsibility are qualified to efficiently carry out the required functions. * Responsible for monitoring to ensure that risk management activities are properly performed and completed for the units within their area of responsibility. * Responsible for certification that the internal controls are designed properly and operating effectively. * Responsible for identifying risk trends and/or symptoms of process control breakdowns. * Responsible for keeping the Business Executives apprised of changes in inherent risk or control breakdowns/deficiencies that could impact residual risk. * Must be familiar with the policies and procedures related to each identified risk module. * Modules include but are not limited to: information security, human resources, Sarbanes-Oxley, fraud, vendor management, business continuity, compliance, and product risk and model validation. * Collaborate with the Incubation Team to provide governance framework over Transformation initiatives. * Oversee the Operations & Technology for the Americas risk and control assessment framework for Technology. * Develop and maintain a universe of technology processes and execute a methodology to risk rate the processes. * Develop and execute an annual assessment plan to identify and ensure all high and medium risk gaps have an owner and an action plan. * Understand changes in businesses, operations, technology, regulations, and other factors that may drive a re-assessment of the risk rating and assessment plan. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field * 10+ years of experience designing, implementing and assessing technology processes, including technology across the full technology stack, in addition to having experience in operations management within a Financial Institution * Experience building or enhancing risk and control assessment frameworks * Excellent skills in risk assessment analysis and understanding of business and financial markets * Understanding of their respective business areas * Strong knowledge of the inherent risk within the business line * Strong management skills, and meticulous planning and documentation skills * Knowledge of the transaction cycle of several financial service products * Ability to analyze risk trends, and identify signs of changing risk levels * Experience presenting balanced risk perspectives and interacting with senior risk and control gov
