Job Description Heavy Equipment/Shop Mechanic Direct Hire opening for an award winning, established asphalt company in Charlotte, NC. Job Responsibilities Perform planned maintenance and repairs on existing fleet. Service calls to field/job sites to diagnose and make repairs to unexpected equipment/truck breakdowns. Source parts and pick up parts. Approve invoices, enter repairs into Limble software, write purchase orders for part/repair purchases, administrative work. Determine whether to make repairs in house or outsource. Determine when a new part/equipment is needed by comparing expected use left vs cost of new part/equipment. Determine where to source parts Prioritizing repairs, determining what needs to be repaired when Job Requirements 4-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance, construction environment experience (working with construction equipment & working w/field & service calls) Section 609 for A/C Certification OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain OSHA 10 High School Diploma or High School Equivalent
