Material Estimating Sr. Manager – Production Programs What You
Will Be Doing Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a strategic
and results-driven Material Estimating Sr. Manager (L6) to lead
production estimating activities in support of major programs. This
role is responsible for driving the execution, quality, and
compliance of material cost estimates across production proposals,
ensuring alignment with enterprise estimating standards, regulatory
requirements, and program objectives. The selected leader will play
a critical role in strengthening estimating discipline, integrating
cross-functional inputs, and enabling accurate, executable pricing
strategies that support program performance and margin objectives.
This role offers the opportunity to lead at the center of
production program execution and pricing strategy, directly
influencing affordability, risk posture, and program success. You
will play a key role in advancing enterprise estimating
capabilities while developing a high-performing team in a critical
business function. Key Responsibilities • Lead material estimating
activities across production programs, ensuring delivery of
accurate, compliant, and high-quality cost estimates • Establish
and execute estimating strategies aligned to program objectives,
customer requirements, and enterprise standards • Partner closely
with Program Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Contracts, and
Engineering to ensure integrated, executable proposal solutions •
Oversee workload prioritization, resource alignment, and proposal
execution across the team • Review and approve estimates for
accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FAR, DFARS, and
internal estimating system requirements • Provide guidance on
material cost analysis, supplier inputs, risk identification, and
pricing strategy development • Serve as a key interface with DCMA,
DCAA, and customer representatives during fact-finding, audits, and
negotiations • Drive continuous improvement in estimating
processes, tools, and data utilization, including alignment to
enterprise transformation initiatives (e.g., 1LMX) • Develop and
mentor team members, building depth, capability, and succession

You are a strategic and results-driven leader with deep experience
in material estimating and production program execution within a
complex aerospace or defense environment. You bring strong
analytical skills and a solid understanding of estimating
practices, supplier cost analysis, and regulatory requirements such
as FAR and DFARS, with the ability to deliver accurate, compliant,
and executable cost estimates. You are a collaborative partner who
works effectively across Program Management, Finance, Supply Chain,
Contracts, and Engineering, while confidently engaging with
customers and audit agencies. Known for your ability to lead
high-performing teams, prioritize competing demands, and drive
disciplined execution, you are equally passionate about developing
talent and continuously improving estimating processes, tools, and
data to strengthen overall business performance. Basic
Qualifications • Experience in pricing and estimating for complex
aerospace or defense programs, with emphasis on production
proposals and material estimating • Strong Experience with FAR,
DFARS, TINA, CAS, and estimating system compliance requirements •
Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, prioritizing
workload, and delivering results in a fast-paced, matrixed
environment • Proven experience building and maintaining strong
cross-functional partnerships and influence stakeholders •
Experience supporting audits, fact-finding, and negotiations with
DCMA and DCAA • Experience using analytical skills, communication
skills, and problem-solving skills, with experience translating
data into actionable insights Desired skills • Experience
supporting production estimating within Aeronautics programs • Deep
understanding of Lockheed Martin estimating tools and processes
(e.g., APTS, ProPricer) • Recognized subject matter expertise in
material estimating and supplier cost analysis • Experience leading
process improvements or transformation initiatives in a complex
organization • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect
estimating outputs to program execution, risk, and financial
performance • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire

Ability to work remotely Full-time Remote Telework: The employee
selected for this position will work remotely full time at a
location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site.
Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic
meetings. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a
variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$124,900 - $220,225. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits

Massachusetts, and New York is $143,600 - $248,975. For states not
referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect
