Job Description:
You will be the Aircraft Painter, Paint Technician Level 2 for
the Lockheed Martin Greenville Paint Operations Team. Our team is
responsible for Production and Sustainment paint/coating operations
on F-16s and other military aircraft prior to delivery to our
customers. What You Will Be Doing As the Aircraft Painter, Paint
Technician you will be responsible for a variety of essential job
functions, such as: • Interpret marking drawings to accurately
apply both major and minor interior/exterior aircraft markings and
decals. • Prepare aircraft surfaces by washing, cleaning, sanding,
and masking to ensure they are free from contaminants and ready for
high-quality painting. • Utilize various tools such as grinders,
sanders, paint guns, and measuring devices to prepare and paint
aircraft surfaces, parts, and components. • Maintain and
troubleshoot painting equipment to ensure its operational
effectiveness and longevity within the aerospace industry. • Work
in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, Foreign
Object Debris (FOD)-free work area. • Mission essential functions
and other duties may be assigned as required. Physical
Requirements: • Candidates must complete a post-offer medical exam
prior to the start. • Specific vision abilities required for this
job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and
the ability to adjust focus. • While performing the essential
functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear
Personal Protective • Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel;
reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. • Frequently stand,
walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the
aircraft. • Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and
occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds. • Perform
repetitive movements and work overhead. Equipment (PPE) as needed
to perform job tasks. • The employee is regularly exposed to

This position is in Greenville, SC Discover Greenville. Basic
Qualifications Candidate must have at least 3 years of Automotive
paint applications or 3 years of aircraft paint applications.
Desired skills Experience in applying Low Observable (LO) and Radar
Absorbing Material (RAM) coatings, including proper surface
preparation, basic application techniques, a plus. • Experience in
laying out simple markings, such as stripes and basic two-tone
surfaces • Capable of performing comprehensive surface preparation,
including sophisticated chemical treatments and abrasive techniques
on critical and structural components of aircraft. • Capable of
performing detailed cleaning processes, including degreasing and
the removal of old paint or corrosion inhibitors, using more
advanced techniques and equipment. • Capable of performing complex
masking tasks, including the use of various masking materials and
techniques to achieve precise edges and protect intricate
components, without supervision. • Capable of operating a variety
of painting and PMB equipment, and finishing tools with precision,
and measuring proper MIL thickness of coatings. • Capable of
conducting comprehensive preventative maintenance, including
detailed inspections and minor repairs on various painting

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits.
