Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment
for a Process Engineer II. Type: Contract Job Title: Process
Engineer II Location: Newton, NC Candidates must be able to commute
and work onsite in Newton, NC Pay Rate: Based on experience Work
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: BS in Chemical, Mechanical,
Materials, or Industrial Engineering Role Overview Hands-on support
to qualify processes and equipment in a high-speed fiber optic
cabling plant Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical,
electrical, controls, facilities, IT, operations) Design and
execute experiments, analyze data, and present actionable
recommendations to improve quality, throughput, and process
performance Key Responsibilities Assist equipment start-up, test
setup, data collection, and parameter adjustment Support process
improvements: defect reduction, process control, throughput
optimization, 6-Sigma initiatives Identify root causes of
manufacturing issues and implement solutions Conduct experiments to
expand process understanding and support technology deployment Lead
or support creation of SOPs, job aids, and training documentation
Ensure adherence to safe work practices Requirements 3 years as a
Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment Strong analytical,
problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills Proficiency
in JMP, Minitab, Power BI; experience with SPC and DoE Ability to
manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent
communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Creative,
self-motivated, and capable of influencing cross-functional teams
