team as a Field Service Technician II! The Field Service Technician
ll performs maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical,
electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of Multiquip
customer equipment and tools. Requires a high degree of independent
judgment located at an off-site, field location. Responsible for
communicating repair options to customers, ordering and receiving
parts and completing the repair in an efficient timely manner in
order to satisfy customer needs and achieve department
profitability goals.This role is ideal for individuals who are
passionate service technicians, self-motivated about hands-on
mechanical work and take pride in delivering exceptional service.
Works closely to area Field Service Managers to complete all
service and repair assignments and increase service customer
base.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:---
Accurately Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues,
utilizing technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and your own
knowledge and experience.--- Perform routine maintenance on
construction equipment according to Multiquip's established
guidelines and service/maintenance schedules.--- Intermediate
understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams is required.--- DOT
Inspection and repair of all trailers manufactured by Multiquip
Inc. DOT certification testing is available to the employee for
this job function.--- Build and maintain positive relationships
with customers, providing them with information, technical support,
and training on equipment operation.--- Provide exceptional
customer service by communicating effectively, offering solutions,
and ensuring customer satisfaction. Prepares and completes service
reports in a precise and timely manner as required.--- Participates
in meetings and trainings as assigned for the purpose of conveying
or gathering information required to perform job functions.---
Regularly works indoors/outdoors around moving mechanical parts and
may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in
conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and
humidity--- Performs all work in accordance with Multiquip's
established EH&S guidelines along with all safety procedures
and maintains a clean and safe working environment.--- Follow
customer site safety guideline and adhere to any request for safe
jobsite practices.--- Maintain all motor vehicle logs,
documentation, and driving standards as may be required by the
Department of Transportation (DOT), federal/state authorities, and
the company.--- Maintains assigned service truck in safe, clean,
operable condition. Obeys state and company rules of the road. If
accident occurs, fills out reports promptly--- Ability to operate
and utilize standard computer programs such as all Microsoft Office
tools, Adobe Acrobat, web-based service tools and CRM reporting
tools.--- Projects a positive company image by interacting with
fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative,
supportive and courteous manner; displays an attitude of
professionalism; in-line with the MQ Way--- Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills.--- Strong organizational and time
management skills.--- Performs other duties as assigned by the
employees' manager/supervisor.QualificationsEducation and/or Work
Experience Requirements:High school diploma or (GED) equivalent;
additional technical education or certification is a plus.Minimum
of 5 years of experience on current (2020 and newer) small to
medium construction equipment.Prior Engine and Mfg'r Equipment
Training is beneficial. Skills and Abilities:--- Proven experience
in servicing and repairing Multiquip or similar construction
equipment. Has great overall understanding of complex and/or
logical functions.--- Due to the nature of our industry and this
position, writing, reading and speaking English is mandatory.---
Ability to read and comprehend moderately difficult computer-based
schematics, specifications, service and parts literature, technical
bulletins, safety manuals, and other related publications.--- Solid
mechanical systems knowledge of diesel engines/engine failures and
electrical and hydraulic systems.--- Must be a self-starter with
the ability to schedule time effectively.--- Must be willing to
travel within assigned territory, including overnight/hotel
stays.--- Valid driver's license with good driving record.---
Safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of OSHA and industry safety
standards.--- Must have all standard tooling to complete repairs.
Licenses, Certifications and Registrations:Valid driver's license
and excellent driving recordOSHA and CSA compliant Forklift
Operator CertificationValid US Passport (Not a requirement)
