Position Details:
--- Title: Field Service Technician
--- Location: North Carolina (preferably Charlotte or Raleigh/Durham area) - work from home
--- Shift: Monday - Friday, evening and weekends on occasion
--- Travel: 80% to national & international clients. Some international travel for training may also be required. Typically, 2 or 3 weeks on the road and 1 week home.
--- Compensation: $60K to $65 base salary, depending on qualifications, plus overtime 25% and per diem when traveling. Also, bonus and profit sharing.

Position Description:
--- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on Company freeze drying equipment sold worldwide in a safe, efficient & effective manner consistent with our "Best in Class" status
--- Troubleshoot errors or failures to root cause and recommend or undertake remedial action to restore unit to normal operating condition. Commission, set up of equipment, when not in the field, provide Production, Test & Customer support as required
--- Complete and maintain various documents and computer systems used in the execution of work as required

Requirements:
--- Electrical/Electro-Mechanical skillsets
--- Understanding of industrial plant processes utilizing control systems with PC and PLC architecture, industrial refrigeration systems, and vacuum systems.
--- Experience in maintenance of equipment installed in sterile/aseptic conditions
--- Awareness of mechanics of the freeze-drying process in pharmaceutical applications
--- Awareness of operating principles and procedures of a manufacturing operation, including aspects of engineering, purchasing, materials control, and administration
