Job Description:

Strategic Staffing Solutions is looking for a Sr. Data Engineer in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

Design and build highly complex software solutions using agile/XP/TDD.

Program well-designed, efficient code independently.

Collaborate with designers, developers, and product owners to build cloud native software solutions targeting AWS, mobile iOS/Android, etc.

Clearly communicate team wide progress and identify blocking processes/patterns that hold a team back.

Participate in paired programming and code reviews with juniors to expand the team s collective knowledge and understanding of software engineering.

Complete independent research to refine best practices and present work to peers.



Requirements:

5-10 years as a Data Engineer with AWS back-end development experience

Streaming technologies and development of interfaces to the data via direct query technologies (i.e. Athena), custom API s and Streams

Development of required AWS infrastructure and data product specific application code.

Languages: Python (Primary skill) & Java Spring Boot (Secondary skill)

AWS Services & Other Applicable Frameworks/Tools include, but are not limited to: Lambda, ECS, EKS, EMR+Hudi, Flink, RedShift, S3, Athena, Glue, Kafka/Confluent, Qlik Replicate, DynamoDB
