Job Description:
Raintree Country Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Course
Mechanic. The applicant should have knowledge of small engine
repair, including weedeaters. Electrical understanding a plus but
not required. This position will report to the head Mechanic.
Under the direction of the mechanic and/or the assistant golf
course superintendent, the assistant mechanic and/or works
independently of the mechanic in the repairing and maintenance of
various gasoline and diesel-powered golf course maintenance
equipment. The assistant mechanic also assists in maintaining a
clean service area and maintenance building, contributes to a
preventative maintenance program, and places safety procedures as a
top priority.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Mechanic:
-Overhauls and repairs maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment and
other power equipment.
-Lubricates and services all equipment.
-Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies and makes routine
adjustments where necessary
- Maintains up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs
and their components.
-Inspects, changes and repairs tires.
-Assists in controlling tool access and use by maintenance
staff.
-Cleans working areas after repair work is completed.
-Assists in fabricating, body repair and painting.
-Adjusts cutting units on mowing equipment.
-When servicing of equipment is complete, will assist on
maintenance crew and may operate mowing equipment.
-Assists in training the maintenance staff in the proper care and
upkeep of the golf course equipment.
-May be called upon to operate or train to operate various types of
maintenance equipment.
-Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
-Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications for the Assistant Mechanic:
-Certificate from college or technical school
-Must have 2 plus years' experience with small engine repairs and
maintenance.
-Must have valid driver's license.
Other qualifications:
-Must be a quick learner and able to work in a fast pace
environment.
-Regular and reliable attendance.
Raintree Country Club is a 36 hole private golf course managed by
Troon Prive and located in South Charlotte near the Arboretum. This
is a Full-Time 40 hour a week position offering Medical, dental and
vision, 401k and uniforms.
