About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing PLACE team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of eight-years of related experience focused on quality engineering and design, an ability to facilitate successful, timely, and profitable projects, desire to work collaboratively, skills to grow our client network, and desire to lead and grow a team of civil engineers.

The successful candidate is a Civil Engineer who will help develop and grow our PLACE team in Charlotte by helping to hire/train/mentor junior staff, market and sell Pond's services, and manage various civil projects. The successful candidate would assist with current projects, interface with clients, pursue new opportunities, serve as a thought leader, and bolster Pond's brand in the North Carolina market.

About Our Team

Pond's PLACE Team is an innovative group of Planners, Landscape Architects, and Civil Engineers who work collaboratively in a dynamic setting. Our team is located throughout multiple offices in the Southeast USA, and our projects range in scale from small pocket parks, to planning for downtowns, to mixed-use and multi-family developments, to even large-scale federal (DOD) projects. Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience with civil engineering (both local government and private development) and permitting in the Charlotte market required.
• Knowledge of the North Carolina market with network of local government and private clients preferred.
• Experience with business development, marketing, proposal preparation, etc. preferred.
• Experience managing staff of junior engineers and designers preferred. Qualifications:
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience
  • North Carolina PE license preferred
  • Proficient with relevant software such as AutoCAD Civil3D, MS Office, MS Project, and other software programs applicable to job type
  • Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally through collaboration
