Job Description
You will join our Engineering Department
As our new Design Engineer you will be part of electrical team that has grown into a cohesive and sought-after resource for our internal and external clients. While you will be assigned to your office of choice, you will engage and interact with electrical professionals from multiple locations, as well as engineers from multiple disciplines. This will be a true team environment!
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Serve as a technical electrical engineer, developing, reviewing, updating, and modifying, electrical designs for medium to large process-related projects.
  • Prepare technical reports to define projects and provide clients with technical direction.
  • Supports preparation of engineering proposals and fee estimates for targeted clients.
  • Provide engineering support for construction projects, including cost estimating, site inspections, punch list development, and shop drawing review.
  • Train and mentors early career employees
  • Delegate basic tasks to other team members
  • Participate in the quality review process of work products developed by others
  • Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
  • \Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and concepts to execute required aspects of electrical engineering.
  • Prepare power systems analysis reports.
  • Update and broaden your technical and digital design skills to allow Ramboll to continue to be at the forefront of digital design. Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5+ years of qualifying engineering experience in the engineering/design field.
    • PE license or desire to pursue PE licensure.
    • Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams).
    • Practical experience with engineering calculations (Short Circuit, Overcurrent Protection Coordination, and ArcFlash) utilizing computer modeling software.
    • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code(NEC)
    • Practical experience with Autodesk Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD MEP.
    • Practical experience with lighting design software AGI32 or similar. Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:
