Position Overview:
Ameresco's Distributed Energy Resource (DER) team is seeking a
Mechanical Engineer to support the development and implementation
of DER projects located nationwide, including renewable natural gas
(RNG) plants and other renewable technology projects. This position
is based out of our Charlotte, NC office.
Responsibilities:
Develop Power plant drawings, and Equipment fabrication skid
drawings through Autodesk products-AutoCAD plant 3D, Smart PIDs,
Navisworks;
Ability to create BOM (bill of materials), equipment list,
Instrumentation list and specification;
Participate in Project Team engineering and design audit visits and
supporting activities;
Assist in the preparation engineering design and bid document
development in support of construction, operations, and maintenance
of customer site programs and projects in accordance with energy
savings performance contract requirements;
Analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed engineering design and
bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for
energy efficient building technology and system measures;
Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships at all
levels and project phases;
Assist with project expenditures and job cost accounting: including
documentation, approvals, tracking, and reporting for engineering
aspects;
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional
safety standards, practices, and codes and successful project.
And;
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Associates Engineering degree or experience.
Minimum 2 years' engineering experience, with exposure to facility
operations and mechanical installation projects involving
co-generation, heating, cooling, lighting, renewable natural gas,
power plants or other renewable energy projects.
Additional Qualifications:
Fundamentals of Engineer (FE)
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit MEP highly desirable
Experience with cogeneration on systems from 60 KW up to 1 MW
highly desirable.
Proven ability to manage and complete complex projects in a timely,
cost-effective manner.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, and technical communication
and presentations skills, including advanced MS Office, Word, Excel
proficiency, MS Project, and Primavera.
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by resident state
required.
Travel required.
