Job Description:
Description:This is for the machine tools group. Research, plan,
and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems,
and direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication,
operation, application, installation, maintenance, and repair of
mechanical or electromechanical products and systems. Interpret and
translate technical documents and other communications. Work
closely with other engineering disciplines to increase production
quality, efficiency, or volume.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Work with Sr. engineer(s) and management to
plan, conduct, and direct research, development for given
engineering assignments.- Participate in larger projects of major
magnitude and scope, or more than one project.- Analyze data such
as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to
determine feasibility of design or application.- Create, design,
and develop products or systems such as machines, mechanical,
thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.- Work with Sr.
Engineer(s) & Management to schedule work to meet completion dates
and technical specifications defined by the Design Engineering
Supervisor.- Develop, create, manage, and maintain technical
documentation describing products including, but not limited to,
detail drawings, layouts, assembly drawings, bills of material,
engineering specifications, and schematic diagrams.- Aid
fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and
systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.-
Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to
eliminate machine or system malfunctions.- Communicates effectively
with Design Engineering Supervisor, Engineering Manager, and
project managers supplying periodic progress reports on status of
assignments; and communicate issues or concerns with meeting
project timing.- Provide Field Service Engineers with technical
information concerning products & special designs to aid in
installation and service of the equipment.- Assist Purchasing with
technical guidance on mechanical components, equipment, and
services.Additional Skills & Qualifications:To perform this job

EXPERIENCEBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or
Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of
education and experience. 0 to 2 years engineering experience in
Automation or Machine Tool related field and/or training preferred;
familiar with mechanical/electromechanical side of machine tools
and peripheral equipment. Machine Design Specialty and Automation
experience preferred. SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience preferred.
