Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Endpoint Engineer to join our team! As Endpoint Engineer, you will report directly to the IT Manager of End User Services. As Endpoint Engineer you must have extensive experience with Desktop and Mobile Device Endpoint Management. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical, process development, and leadership advisory ability. In this role you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the governance for managing laptops and mobile devices. You will also observe the performance of 3rd party vendors in day-to-day operations to ensure established procedures are followed. In this role you must have extensive experience developing solutions for advanced problems and provide input on transformation opportunities.

As Endpoint Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, design, and implement an endpoint management strategy for laptops and mobile devices
  • Work with a 3rd party service provider providing endpoint management support and assist in monthly performance reviews
  • Develop governance, processes, road maps, and upgrade and test plans for endpoint devices
  • Establish processes to ensure an accurate catalog, accountability, and status of devices
  • Establish processes for reliable O&M, change management, and security of devices
  • Work with security to develop and implement standards for device configuration
  • Develop processes for joining, updating, and disenrolling devices
  • Determine performance metrics to evaluate security, configuration, and accountability of devices
  • Inform leadership on risks in the management and security of devices
  • Create dashboards to provide quick and accurate information on all managed devices
  • Manage device hardware selection process (ie. CPU, disk, RAM and network) from various OEM vendors to support business functions and required business software
  • Work with cyber security to develop a BYOD policy

    Qualifications

    WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or similar with 5+ years of experience in IT or 10+ years of relevant training and experience in lieu of a degree
    • Experience with Windows 10
    • Experience with planning and executing major OS upgrades
    • Demonstrated expertise in End Point Manager InTune and Configuration Manager or similar platform
    • Subject matter expert on MDM and MAM using MS End Point Manager or similar platform
    • Subject matter expert on laptop management using MS End Point Manager or similar platform
    • Microsoft Desktop Administration or similar certification
    • Experience managing fully managed Android devices
    • Expert understanding bulk enrollment of devices and zero touch deployments
    • Expert understanding of BYOD best practices and management
    • Have participated in an acquisition where devices were migrated to a new company
