General Job DescriptionCIMTEC Engineered Products (CEP) provides
CIMTEC Automation, and its customers world class engineering
focused on the robotics, vision and controls technologies that
CIMTEC sells. This includes:
- Turnkey Integration
- Training
- Technical Support (Pre & Post Sales)
- Field ServiceMajor Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the technical expertise necessary to specify
automation products to fulfill customer specifications and
budgets.
- Perform project responsibilities including system concept and
design, specification of bills of materials, programming of
automation devices, and onsite commissioning.
- Manage projects to ensure conformity to the approved CEP
proposal, the schedule, project profitability, and customer
satisfaction.
- Develop engineering proposals for turnkey solutions utilizing
standard templates, pricing worksheets and corporate pricing
guidelines.
- Perform automation equipment demonstrations in CIMTEC labs,
online, at customer sites and at trade shows.
- Deliver training related to the automation components sold by
CIMTEC for both internal and external audiences.
- Conduct field service calls to troubleshoot, replace or modify
existing automation systems or components.
- Participate in joint sales calls or site visits with the
outside sales staff for the purpose of lending technical support to
the sales efforts.
- Respond to engineering support inquiries, requests and
complaints.Minor Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the
public.
- Ensure all administrative documents are accurate and current,
including project files, timesheets and corporate
expenditures.
- Help develop Junior AE's with mentorship and on-the-job
training.
- Provide account intelligence to Sales when communicating with
or visiting customers.
- Some overnight travel is required to customer sites or training
locations, including occasional stays for 3-4 nights. Most work is
local or regional, but could be nationwide.Education
QualificationsBS degree or 4+ years of related experience.Technical
Qualifications
- Understanding of automation technologies sold by CIMTEC
including:
- Robotics: Epson, Universal Robots, MiR, Kawasaki
- Machine Vision Systems: Cognex, LMI, SICK
- Controls: Emerson, Horner, Allen-Bradley, Siemens
- Understanding of basic electrical design principles using
software applications such as AutoCAD
- Understanding of basic mechanical design principles using
software application such as Fusion 360Experience
QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of engineering experience focused
on automation.Other Qualifications
- A valid driver's license.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is

and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand,
walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must
occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable
