Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support
students across a broad range of grade levels in Blacksburg, VA.
This contract position offers the opportunity to provide vital
speech and language services in an educational setting, working
directly with children and adolescents from early childhood through
high school. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat
speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in
school-aged children. Develop and implement individualized
education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs. Collaborate
closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals
to support student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and
provide regular progress reports. Deliver therapeutic services to
students across various grade levels, including Pre-K through Grade
12. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Valid state licensure or
certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working
with diverse student populations in school settings. Knowledge of
speech and language development in early childhood through
adolescence. Skills in working with students in early childhood,
elementary (K-5), middle school (6-8), and high school (9-12)
environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to
engage effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
