Carmel Country Club is looking for an experienced Aqua Aerobics instructor to provide cutting-edge aqua aerobics classes that promote fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment. The instructor acts as a fitness resource for class participants and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage continued class attendance. The Instructor is responsible for consistently meeting daily class attendance goals as well as effectively promote Carmel Fitness programs, products and services.Reporting to the Assistant Fitness Manager, the instructor must carry current certification in aqua fitness and must have current CRP/first aid training, reliable transportation and a great attitude! Preference goes to candidates who also have Life Guard qualifications. Looking for schedule availability M-F morning teaching times (8, 9 or 10am). No childcare provided.Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops positive relationships with class participants
  • Educates class participants on correct form and alternative movements during the class
    • Attentively listens to members, answers questions, and engages in conversation before and after classes
      • Cleans and organizes studio space after each Group Fitness class
        • Provides current music for each class that entertains and motivates while ensuring appropriate language
          • Promotes Carmel Fitness promotions, programs, products, and services while specifically encouraging participation for Group Fitness classes
            Position Requirements
            • High School Diploma or GED
              • 1 or more years of fitness instructor work experience
                • CPR/AED Certification
                  • Minimum of one of the following Group Exercise Certifications: National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American Fitness Aerobic Association (AFAA) -AND/OR- certification in a specified branded format (Aqua)
                    • Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneelingJob Type: Part-timeSchedule: Day shift, Monday to FridayExperience:
                      • Aqua Aerobics Instruction: at least 1 year
                        • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
                          • Group fitness: 1 year (Preferred)
