EnergySolutions is hiring electricians for the upcoming fall outage
season. A Nuclear Electrician is a highly skilled professional
responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of
electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures within a nuclear
facility. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical
systems to ensure the precise and reliable operation of critical
equipment. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical
wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring all work complies with
relevant codes. Must be able to obtain nuclear unescorted access,
including meeting fitness for duty requirements. Essential
Functions: - Perform all job duties safely according to
requirements. /n - Install and start up switchgear, motor control
units, motors, and generators. /n - Assist in pulling wire and
cable. /n - Utilize trade tools effectively. /n - Cut, thread, and
bend conduit. /n - Fabricate wire ways, supports, and hangers. /n -
Install various panel devices. /n - Install conduit systems. /n -
Install grounding and bonding systems. /n - Read and interpret
blueprints. /n - Perform cleanup duties. /n - Terminate three-phase
motors (high and low voltage). /n - Conduct material takeoff from
blueprints. /n - Connect transformers properly. /n - Layout jobs
from blueprints. /n - Splice and terminate wires per procedural
requirements. /n - Perform checkout, meg wire, wire identification,
and tagging. /n - Install lighting systems. /n - Conduct
Live-Dead-Live checks. /n - Install complete control panels. /n -
Perform pre-startup maintenance on motors. /n - Troubleshoot
control and lighting systems. /n - Install plastic (PVC) conduit.
/n - Demonstrate proper use and care of test equipment. /n -
Install bussing systems. /n - Apply craft-related math skills. /n -
Perform other related duties as assigned. /n /nRequired Education
and Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent. /n - 3 years
of experience. /n - Prior nuclear power plant experience, highly
desired. /n - Must be able to obtain nuclear unescorted access,
including fitness for duty requirements. /n - Successful completion
of all training including, Radiation Worker Training, Plant Access
Training, Fitness for Duty, etc. /n - Ability to understand and
carry out written and oral instructions. /n - Ability to assemble
and disassemble objects and operate small equipment and power
tools. /n - Availability for shift work, if needed. /n - Ability to
support other crafts as requested. /n - Ability to work at varying
heights, in cramped quarters, extreme heat and/or cold, and loud
environments (above 89 decibels). /n - Knowledge of relevant
processes and procedures. /n - Ability to obtain and maintain
knowledge of technical manuals and procedures. /n - Ability to pass
specific training and qualifications. /n - Willingness to work
overtime, including shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed.
/n - Ability to pass all background and screening requirements,
including drug and/or alcohol screening. /n /nPhysical Demands: -

dexterity, grasping, feeling, hearing, talking. /n - Capacity to
think, concentrate, and focus for long periods. /n - Ability to
read and write complex documents in English. /n - Capacity to
