Maintenance Technician at our manufacturing facility, your primary
purpose is to ensure the seamless operation of machinery and
equipment essential to produce high-quality pet food products. Your
role encompasses preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and
repair activities to minimize downtime and uphold production
efficiency. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach,
you will contribute to maintaining a safe work environment while
adhering to regulatory standards. Collaborating closely with the
production team, your efforts will directly impact on our ability
to consistently deliver nutritious and safe pet food products to
our valued customers. Requirements There may be times where
overtime and weekend work may be required. Must be able to work
various shifts as needed. Education: A high school diploma or
equivalent is required. Additional vocational training,
certification, or an associate degree in electrical maintenance or
a related field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in
electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in a
manufacturing environment. Experience with industrial equipment,
PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and motor controls is highly
desirable. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical
systems, including motors, drives, switches, and control panels.
Ability to replace associated faulty components. Knowledge of
electrical codes and regulations is essential. Proficiency in
troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues such as gearboxes,
pumps, hydraulics, belt driven equipment. Expertise in working with
480-volt electrical systems, including the ability to safely
install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment powered by such
systems. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations specific to
480-volt systems is essential. Familiarity with a variety of hand
and power tools used in mechanical maintenance, such as wrenches,
drills, grinders, and torque wrenches. Safety: Strong commitment to
workplace safety practices and procedures. Understanding of
lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocols related to
electrical maintenance work. Communication: Effective communication
skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and external
contractors. Ability to clearly convey technical information and
provide training when necessary. Problem-solving: Excellent
problem-solving abilities to diagnose electrical issues and
implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends,
and occasional overtime, to accommodate production schedules and
respond to maintenance emergencies. Documentation: Ability to
maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including
repairs performed, parts used, and equipment inspections. Equipment
Knowledge: Familiarity with a variety of electrical testing
equipment, such as multimeters, amp meters, and insulation testers.
Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated on advancements
in electrical and mechanical maintenance technology and techniques
through training and professional development opportunities. Key
Responsibilities Conducts tasks and activities of preventive
maintenance of machinery, equipment, and installations according to
the plans and instructions for preventive maintenance. Performs
daily periodic preventive inspection of machinery, equipment, and
installations, checks their correctness and work status. Takes care
of the neatness and cleanliness of technical devices on all
machines, equipment, and parts of installations (electrical
cabinets, motors, valves, sensors, components, and all heat
installations). Responds immediately to any report of failures and
downtime on equipment and installations and access to tasks of
eliminating downtime and failure. Troubleshoot and repair
electrical systems, including motors, drives, switches, and control
panels. Ability to replace associated faulty components.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues such as gearboxes, pumps,
hydraulics, belt driven equipment - replacing faulty associated
equipment. Works in maintenance, assembly, installation. Handles
steam boilers. Adheres to set hygiene standards and keeps its
working environment neat and clean in accordance with the plan of
cleaning and maintenance of premises and equipment. Monitors work
processes and reports to the superior about any irregularities.
Respects and enforces the standards, rules, procedures, and
instructions of the Company and actively participates in the
implementation thereof. Implements established measures according
to regulations and acts on safety and health at work and
environmental protection, fire protection and to apply the
prescribed means of personal protection. Participates in the
