The Opportunity As a Senior Director of Mortgage Marketing Strategy, you will lead a team focused achieving the Company's goals for awareness, consideration, and purchase of Ally's direct to consumer Mortgage business. This role collaborates with business, marketing, and vendor partners to meet the company's goals for Mortgage loan growth.Your focus and accountability will be to drive maximum value and optimal outcomes for mortgage marketing / growth plans while also considering and building towards a broader Ally Consumer value proposition. This position reports to the Consumer and Lending Marketing Strategy Executive in Charlotte.Primary responsibilities include: The Work Itself - Understand the mortgage market, products, competition, and consumer / customer expectations and be able to translate these perspectives clearly to the marketing team, guiding the team in the business and customer considerations that underlie great marketing approaches.Remain in lockstep with the business / sales team to ensure goals and priorities are aligned. - Lead DRs, peers, and / or other stakeholders in the development of strategic marketing plans supporting Mortgage business growth and goals. Combine vision and expertise to develop innovative, adaptive marketing plans, translating high-level objectives to roadmaps and actions that achieve success for the concept or business. - Compare strategies and initiatives across teams for opportunities to enhance impact.Generate and lead efforts to accelerate the Mortgage business collectively between marketing, pricing, operations and customer experience. - Create and champion cross-marketing team practices and model a culture of inclusive thinking and collaboration across all key stakeholders to align on priorities and ensure teams are focused across Enterprise, LOB and Marketing goals. - Serve as the Marketing leader / point person for various business partners across Enterprise, LOB and Marketing functions to facilitate flow of information, alignment on strategy and synthesis of results. - Manage / oversee communication, materials and routines to keep senior leadership and executives apprised of plans and results (e.g., business reviews, annual planning, scorecards, steering committee materials, etc.) - Operate with comfort in complex or ambiguous situations; anticipate and identify issues that will inhibit attainment of goals and proactively problem-solve - Lead efforts with a collaborative approach and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported. - Demonstrate leadership that actively contributes to attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining a diverse, high-performance team - Promote a flexible team environment that can handle changes with agility while maintaining focus on delivering value to the business. - Responsible for associated management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing, and developing team members. The Skills You Bring - 10+ years broad and integrated marketing experience in mortgage financial services, preferably in the digital mortgage space - Knowledge of both digital and traditional mortgage marketing techniques - Ability to initiate, structure and scope complex initiatives and drive the execution and delivery of complex, large-scale programs. - Comfort in indirect leadership as well as direct reporting relationships. - Ability to act in a leadership capacity as well as a hands-on teammate when needed; willing to dive in and help efforts succeed in any capacity - Values the "how" as much as the "what"; intuitive and able to build trust and relationships. - Strong interpersonal, influencing, and listening skills - ability to engage stakeholders in driving a common goal, interact with colleagues across all functions / all levels and achieve outcomes with or without direct control over resources - Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels and work well in cross-functional teams - Strong strategic planning, analytical, and organizational skills. - Excellent end-to-end problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize issues and lead through challenging situations. - Experience and appreciation for operating safe, measurable, and sound business practices including setting and monitoring measurable performance indicators and metrics, prudent risk management approaches, and governance practices. - Track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting, and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership - Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers - Experience in motivating and leading teams - Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills How We'll Have Your Back
