Job Description Responsible for assisting physician offices with
patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management.
Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and
benefit from the clinic services. Receptionist duties. Conveys a
positive image of clinic. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Greets customers in
polite, prompt, helpful manner. Provides any necessary
instructions/directions. Informs appropriate department/person of
person---s arrival. Additionally, receives visitors and drug
representatives and notifies appropriate person. Completes
necessary paperwork, such as encounter forms. Uses computer system
to generate information necessary for billing. Updates patient
information, collects co-pays, provides any necessary forms needing
completion, and obtains signatures as necessary. Supplements office
staff as reception tasks permit by assisting with photocopying,
computer input/typing, scheduling laboratory or radiology work as
directed. Counts cash drawer daily and goes to bank as necessary.
Maintains HIPAA compliance at all times. Company Description
