We are looking for a talented and energetic individual to join our tax team. As Tax Manager, you will manage our company's global tax function and support our tax policies and business initiatives. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tax Department and be responsible for the company's global tax compliance, accounting for income taxes and risk management. You will also lead special projects, collaborate with internal and external partners on business initiatives, and implement tax planning strategies aligned with company objectives. Key Areas of Responsibility Actively manage all aspects of the quarterly and annual financial reporting for income tax (ASC 740). Analyze domestic and foreign income tax provisions, domestic and local country GAAP and tax reconciliations, uncertain tax positions, APB 23, and the overall effective tax rate. Prepare tax disclosure for 10Q and 10K filings, and maintain internal controls and documentation in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Direct the consolidated U.S. and multi-state income tax compliance process, including U.S. reporting of foreign operations (e.g., earnings & profits, GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, foreign repatriation, transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, etc.), monitoring and evaluating the implications of new tax legislation, and ensuring tax filings are timely and accurate. Oversee the international tax compliance and income tax provision process, providing assistance and guidance to foreign teams as needed. Monitor and evaluate implications of tax legislation, ensuring compliance with foreign countries and worldwide tax reporting initiatives from the OECD, foreign governments and other regulatory agencies (e.g., transfer pricing, Country-by-Country Reporting, permanent establishment, etc.). Manage federal and state income/franchise tax audits, and assist foreign teams with local audits, working proactively to resolve tax issues, minimize tax risk, and maintain rapport with taxing authorities. Play a key role in strategic tax planning, initiating and implementing high-value strategies to minimize our tax liability and exposure, enhance tax-efficient cash flows, reduce our effective tax rate, and streamline our organizational structure to reduce overall costs. Assist business partners by analyzing tax implications of contemplated transactions, business initiatives and proposals to aid in their decision-making. Support the company's acquisitions, due diligence, structuring/planning, and post-acquisition integration tax matters. Identify process and efficiency improvement opportunities including the use of technology for data collection and analysis to facilitate our tax compliance process. Develop, coach and mentor direct reports and other members of the tax team. Qualifications An undergraduate degree with a concentration in accounting, finance or business administration. A master's degree is a plus. Certified Public Accountant or international equivalent is required. Minimum of 8 years of tax experience addressing complex domestic and international issues of large, multi-national corporations. Extensive hands-on experience in the areas of accounting for income taxes, tax compliance with corporate consolidations, tax research, and strategic planning. Blend of public accounting and private industry experience is preferred. Extensive experience with the implementation of the international provisions of U.S. tax reform - Transition Tax, GILTI, FDII and BEAT. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Able to understand and evaluate complex facts, identify issues, quickly discern tax implications, and provide timely, actionable advice. Able to perform well under pressure in a dynamic, fast paced environment with competing priorities and deliver exceptional results. Proactive, open-minded and intellectually agile with a willingness to accept/drive change, innovation and process improvement. Drives engagement. Works well in a collaborative, team environment and across cultures. Excellent verbal and written skills. Proficiency in Corptax and Microsoft Office, especially Excel is required. Proficiency in ERP systems, Oracle (HFM) and Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
