Job Description:

Grubb Properties is seeking a meticulous and driven Property Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in supporting our financial operations across our diverse portfolio of real estate investments. As a Property Accountant, you will manage all aspects of accounting for our properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Prepare monthly financial statements for property portfolios, including income statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis. Coordinate with property managers to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and adherence to budgets. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including the processing of rent rolls, lease analysis, and tenant billings. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial transactions. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other compliance documents. Support the financial team in quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting. Participate in internal audits and provide data for external auditing processes. Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of property accounting operations. Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.
