managing the income tax processes for the company. Join XPO, and

disability and more. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Manage income tax provisions and related schedules through
partnership with internal departments or external tax providers to
ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC standards related to
accounting for income taxes for inclusion in internal and external
financial statements
- Prepare and/or review income tax footnotes for quarterly and
annual SEC filings
- Manage the tax compliance process for federal, state, and US
International
- Train, mentor, grow, inspire and evaluate your team to enhance
their performance, development and work product; address
performance issues and make recommendations for personnel
actions
- Manage and properly document tax-related impacts of any
transactions and assisting senior leadership with managing the tax
impact of all future company decisions
- Perform research and draft technical memoranda to
leadership
- Assist with tax planning initiatives
- Review international taxes as it pertains to the company and
its subsidiaries
- Review complex multi-state, federal, and international
informational tax compliance workpapers
- Collaborate closely with accounting, finance, and management to
ensure strategic alignment of the tax function with other business
units
- Manage special projects as required What you need to succeed at
XPO: At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of tax experience in multi-state and multinational
environments
- Strong knowledge of OneSource software or equivalent; thorough
knowledge of Oracle and HFM accounting software
- ASC 740, SEC reporting, and tax compliance preparation and
review experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform tax research and develop
internal tax strategies and opinions
- Knowledge of accounting principles related to accounting for
income taxes under U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations as well
as financial accounting as it pertains to tax return/provision
preparation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to create complex
formulas in Excel It'd be great if you also have:
- Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation
- CPA certification
- Experience with Alteryx
- Experience in international taxation
