Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst performs a range of financial duties
encompassing planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. This
role involves retrieving, analyzing, and reporting financial data
and models, with a focus on financial analysis and cash
reconcilement. Additionally, the Financial Analyst acts as a key
point of contact for the maintenance and continuous development of
treasury software and related systems, overseeing various aspects
of these systems. This position requires close interaction with key
stakeholders in Financial Administration and Patient Financial
Services to ensure the reconciliation of banking activity with
accounts receivable.
Essential Functions:
Financial Analysis and Data Oversight: Research and analyze
financial, banking, and patient billing data to support accurate
bank reconciliation and optimize patient billing operations.
Oversee staff responsible for these functions.
Data Integrity: Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of
databases, mappings, and reference tables within the cash
application software system.
Collaborative Input: Provide input to the team on tasks and system
workflows, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
System Support: Work with the Information Systems department and
software vendors to resolve system issues related to treasury
software and financial systems.
Financial Reporting: Review journal entries and account
reconciliations to maintain organizational records and financial
statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting (GAAP)
principles.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Review and analyze financial
statements and reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs),
and prepare financial reports.
Budget Assistance: Assist with budgeting and monthly close
processes, understanding key business drivers and striving for
budget favorability.
Project Support: Provide financial guidance to project teams and
assist in the development of financial projections and models.
Research and Compliance: Conduct research and analysis as required,
ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies,
and relevant legal regulations.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves frequent movement between areas, coordination,
and communication with individuals from various disciplines and
agencies. All employees are responsible for working in a safe
manner.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field;
M.B.A. preferred.
3-5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and
modeling.
Ability to present financial information to non-financial
audiences.
Working knowledge of financial strategies.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation
skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to perform in high-pressure
environments.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP, Oracle, or
related financial systems.
