      WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

      • The Finance Director, Americas oversees all reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the region. This role is responsible for all financial planning and analysis to identify and assess the risks and opportunities and provides critical analytical support to help drive execution of the region's strategy.
      • Provide oversight and career development and coaching to the (6) finance team members
      • Manage and oversee all financial areas, including accounting and reporting, internal controls, KPIs and FP&A.
      • Deliver accurate and effective reporting and presentation of monthly financial results to both Regional and Corporate Leadership, enabling effective decision-making and support of the company's growth and continued profitability
      • Support company half and full year statutory reporting, including timely support of audit requests.
      • Analyze results and/or trend data to support the forecast, identify risks to the forecast and identify mitigation strategies and actions.
      • Optimize the corporation's overhead spend through strategic and analytical evaluation of current spend, identification of improvements and efficiencies and execution of activities to improve return on investment.
      • Provide financial modelling of business scenarios including: investment, sourcing and make vs. buy, seasonal promotions, new product introductions, cost reductions, expansion analysis, etc.
      • Work cross-functionally to support in the identification and development of creative solutions to a full range of business opportunities and/or challenges.
      • Support the GM, Americas, CFO and CEO in the overall financial management of the region, as well as development of the regional long-term strategic roadmap
      • Provide project management and risk management leadership
      • Liaise with external tax advisor to ensure the business is compliant with all tax related legislation (Federal tax returns, State tax returns, B&O Taxes, CAT Taxes, WHT).
      • Support annual global insurance renewal process




        THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

        • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master's degree preferred
        • 10+ years of experience with a global manufacturing company, preferably in consumer goods
        • CPA a plus
        • Experience across multiple financial disciplines (FP&A, Sales & Marketing, Operations) preferred
        • The individual should have experience in a global manufacturing business and familiarity working in multiple currencies.
        • Experience with an ERP system, such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft AX and with finance management systems such as Hyperion Essbase or IBM Planning Analytics is preferential
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management.
        • Excellent business acumen and analytical skills with a high degree of intelligence and creativity.
        • Superior technical financial skills, balanced with sound business judgment.
        • The ability to quickly and effectively balance financial and operational factors; and to analyze complex business challenges and develop appropriate solutions and countermeasures in a timely and responsive manner.
        • Strong proven internal controls background with proven initiatives to manage risk, enforce compliance, and safeguard company assets.
