About this role:
Commercial and Corporate Investment Banking Technology( CCIBT)
Architecture group is hiring a Lead Systems Architect to provide
architecture direction on Commercial Lending platforms supporting
Commercial Banking and Corporate Investment Banking business
groups. In this role, you will be a Product Architect on the CCIBT
architecture team within Enterprise Architecture in the Chief
Technology Office.
As a Commercial Lending product architect, you will be responsible
for Product Architecture of an assigned portfolio of applications
and the associated business-technology strategies. The Product
Architect exhibits leadership to drive a product vision, translate
business demands to product capabilities and develop a target
architecture roadmap that supports consumer/client consumption. The
Product Architect Role is part of the Product Cabinet and is
dedicated to support a product, working with the Product Manager
and Product Owner.
You will partner closely with Commercial Lending Technology/Line of
Business executives, product management, engineering, peer
architects and other key stakeholders. Through these partnerships,
you will develop strategy and solutions architecture for Commercial
Lending platforms while identifying architecture modernization and
simplification opportunities. You will also be responsible for
solutions architecture, setting key strategic architecture
direction, and providing clear roadmaps that exhibit the current
architecture and progression/steps toward target state.
In this role, you will:
Lead in component architecture and participate in enterprise
architecture activity
Participate in the definition of future technology architecture and
strategy
Develop and maintain business system and corporate
architectures
Review and research complex technology and system assessments for
component architecture
Support implementation of moderate to complex projects and
initiatives
Produce project architecture designs
Ensure applications adhere to established Wells Fargo standards,
policies, methodologies and industry best practices
Understand compliance and risk management requirements for
supported areas
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and capabilities in order to
prepare and respond to customer needs and expectations
Provide in-depth technical and systems consultation to internal
clients and technical management to ensure alignment with the
Enterprise Architecture
Required Qualifications, US:
4+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years architecting solutions for and guiding implementation of
large-scale initiatives
Experience creating strategy that enabled technology and business
outcomes for a product or business line
Desired Qualifications:
Understanding of modern application development, Event Driven
Architecture, Microservices, Domain Driven Design, Agile delivery
and DevSecOps
Experience with banking applications using Java/.NET technology
hosted on public/hybrid cloud.
Use of API Gateways (Apigee), event streaming (Kafka) and other
related technologies to integrate custom and third-party
applications into an architecture that provides a cohesive
capability to the organization.
Hands on usage of architecture frameworks (TOGAF) and modeling
tools (BizzDesign/Archimate) to deliver product and journey-based
architectures.
Cloud certification, preferably Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
Platform
Knowledge of commercial lending and leasing, as well as other
banking related areas such as payment or treasury
Good understanding of loan life cycle such as loan origination,
underwriting, portfolio management, collateral management, loan
accounting servicing.
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly
senior management.
Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build
successful relationships.
